Arsenal have just seven more days to make signings before the transfer window ends on Monday. The Gunners have yet to make a single move to strengthen their squad this winter.
They have been almost as inactive in moving players out this month, with Ethan Nwaneri the only player to exit, on loan to Marseille. Oleksandr Zinchenko is also due to join Ajax from the Gunners via Nottingham Forest, with his contract to expire at the end of this season.
Outgoings appear more likely than any incomings over the next week. Mirror Football rounds up the latest Arsenal transfer news...
Ethan Nwaneri's future 'very clear'
Marseille president Pablo Longoria has acknowledged that including an option to sign Ethan Nwaneri permanently in their loan deal with Arsenal was unrealistic. He told the Telegraph: "Let's say a very clear thing – an option to buy is unrealistic.
"He's one of the main assets for the future of Arsenal. The value for us is his talent and his sporting performances.
"For Arsenal, it's contributing to the gameplay, and for the player, a step in growing up and being coached by Roberto." Longoria added: "Our coach, Roberto De Zerbi, is a good incentive, he's recognised as one of the most creative coaches in Europe, and that kind of thing for the players is important."

Long-serving academy player out on trial
One of Arsenal's longest-serving academy players, Osman Kamara, played for Blackburn Rovers' Under-21s in a Premier League 2 match on Monday afternoon. Dubbed "A Trialist" by Rovers, their opponents, Birmingham City, did not omit his name.
Kamara came on at half-time as a substitute and scored the fifth goal in a 5-0 win. Barely a week ago, the teenager winger started for Arsenal's Under-21s and played 75 minutes in a 7-0 loss to Liverpool.

He is in the final season of his first professional contract, signed in the summer of 2024. Kamara joined Arsenal at the age of eight, and May will mark 12 years at the club. However, an exit now appears likely at the end of this season, with the 19-year-old trialling for other teams.
