The Liverpool youngster has scored 11 goals already this season.

A Liverpool youngster is set sign a new deal and be loaned out, reports suggest.

According to Honduran outletDiario Diez, well-regarded striker Keyrol Figueroa is close to committing his future to Anfield. The 19-year-old, the son of former Wigan Athletic and Hull City defender, Maynor - has been in prolific form for the Reds’ academy this season. Figueroa has plundered 11 goals in 16 matches in all competitions, with his most recent effort for the under-21s earning a 2-1 win over Leeds United.

He is still to make his Liverpool first-team debut but was an unused substitute in a 3-0 Carabao Cup fourth-round loss against Crystal Palace at Anfield earlier this season.

It is suggested that the USA youth international is poised to pen new terms at Anfield and will be loaned to a European outfit before the January transfer window closes. Diario Diez suggests that Figueroa will complete a move to Porto, who are seven points clear at the top of the Portuguese league and are in the Europa League.

It is claimed that the teenager feels he’s ready for senior football and it’s not just Porto who have shown an interest, with other Portuguese sides and Italian clubs monitoring him.

Speaking after the Leeds victory, under-21s head coach Rob Page said on Figueroa via the club’s website: “I've got a lot of time for Figgy. He's a great lad to work with, he takes on board what you ask of him and when the ball comes into the box, there is a strong chance that he will be on the end of it. I'm really pleased for him – he deserves it. He works hard during the week and I think he's now the top scorer in the division.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool have confirmed they have agreed a deal in principle to sign Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna. The centre-back is set to join the Reds in the summer transfer window.

Ndukwe cannot move to Merseyside until he turns 18 in March because of post-Brexit rules. A club statement said: “Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna, subject to international clearance.

“The Austrian-born defender, who turns 18 in March, will link up with the Reds' U21 squad in the summer. Ndukwe has represented his country at youth level and appeared in all but one of their matches at the 2025 U17 World Cup, where they finished as runners-up.

“A regular for the reserve side of Austria Vienna, he has been part of their senior team's matchday squad on nine occasions this season.”
