FC Porto are currently running high in Liga Portugal.

Unbeaten in the 2025/26 season, Porto have won 18 games out of 19 with the other ending in a draw.

That unbeaten run means that they’re currently sitting 7 points clear at the top of the league and favourites to win the title this season.

One of the reasons that Porto are doing so well is because of the quality of their players.

The likes of Samu Aghehowa, Diogo Costa and Rodrigo Mora are players that are highly coveted across European football and they’re turning in great performances in Porto to showcase their talent.

And the Portuguese side have added proven older English Premier League talent to their ranks to add to the talented youth they have.

Jakub Kawior, Jan Bednarek and former Chelsea, PSG and AC Milan legend Thiago Silva are all currently playing at Estadio do Dragao.

Highly rated head coach Francesco Farioli, who is just 36 years of age, is leading the charge at the club and many are tipping a highly successful year for all associated with Porto.

And it appears as if the Portuguese giants are keen to add to their Premier League stock and bring a player from Liverpool Football Club to the north of Portugal.

Honduras outlet Diario Diez are reporting that Porto are expected to sign Liverpool striker Keyrol Figueroa.

Figueroa, the son of former Wigan Athletic and Honduras star Maynor Figueroa, is currently on the Liverpool academy books with a contract that expires in the summer.

Diario Diez report that The Reds are close to signing a contract extension for Keyrol Figueroa and then he is expected to join Porto on loan for the season.

Despite being born in Honduras, Keyrol Figueroa actually represents the United States of America at a national level as he spent part of his childhood in the USA where he eventually got citizenship.

It appears that Porto are keen to bring him to their club and see what he can do at a senior footballing level.

Still only 19, Figueroa has a bright future in the game and could add a few more bows to his string while out in Portugal.
