Huge Arsenal star exploring move away from Gunners

Arsenal will hope to return to winning ways when they face Kazakhstani side Kairat Almaty in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Gunners have won all seven of their games in the group phase of the competition so far and are therefore assured of a spot in the knockout phase, but manager Mikel Arteta will want to see his side emerge victorious at The Emirates.

Arsenal have picked up just a single point from their past three matches in the Premier League, and their lead at the top of the table has been cut to four points in that time.

While the north London giants remain favourites to lift the trophy in May, Arteta will be wary of his side’s recent struggles.

Now, it appears that the Premier League leaders could soon be dealt a devastating blow.

As per indykaila News, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is exploring the idea of leaving the club this year.

The report claims that the Norway international is considering the options available to him, despite playing an integral role for the Gunners since joining the club.

Arsenal paid around £30 million to sign the Norwegian from Real Madrid back in 2021 following a successful loan spell in London.

In total the midfielder has now scored 42 goals and registered 43 assists in 221 games for the club across all competitions.

He is said to be considering a move away from the club, though, and it is also claimed that Arsenal would also consider selling the midfielder in order to cash in on his high value and appease their PSR concerns.

Odegaard’s contract at The Emirates is set to run until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but it appears that Arsenal could consider a sale this summer.
