Celtic have several boyhood fans playing for the club at this moment in time.
Captain Callum McGregor pulls the strings in the middle of the park, whilst the likes of James Forrest have been one-club men, and he is now Celtic’s most decorated player of all time.
Then you have the likes of Kieran Tierney, Liam Scales and Luke McCowan also donning the famous green and white colours, but could the Hoops add Andy Robertson to that list?
Robertson has been linked with Celtic, given that he is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer, but Tottenham have tried to sign the Scotland captain, which has now proven to be difficult.

Andy Robertson’s proposed move to Tottenham from Liverpool
With the 2026 World Cup around the corner, and Scotland set to venture into their first World Cup tournament since 1996, Robertson needs the game time.
For all intents and purposes, it seemed like Robertson could be heading to Spurs. To earn the game time, and to help out the London club, who had just lost Ben Davies to a long-term injury.
But, with days left before the January transfer window slams shut, it has been reported by The Athletic that Robertson’s proposed move to Spurs is ‘not progressing at present.’

If that’s the case, and he remains at Anfield, then come the summer, Celtic have the chance to sign Robertson on a free and help him live his dream of representing his boyhood club.

Robertson on becoming a Celtic fan…
Robertson was on Celtic’s books as a youngster, but he never made a first-team appearance before leaving in 2009 and joining Queen’s Park.
The all-action fullback has had a successful career, including winning two Premier League titles and the Champions League with Liverpool.
Back in 2021, Robertson told TNT Sports about his love for the Hoops and how he was ‘born’ a Celtic supporter.
“My mum and dad had Celtic season tickets before me and my brother were born,” said Robertson. “I didn’t want a choice. It was quite an easy one for me.
“Up in Scotland, it’s very Celtic and Rangers heavy. My side was definitely Celtic. I loved watching them as a wee boy.”
