Chelsea fans got rather excited after hearing the news that N’Golo Kante could return to Stamford Bridge this month.
It’s back to the drawing board for Liam Rosenior after losing out in the race for Douglas Luiz, as he’s set to join Aston Villa.
The likes of Ruben Neves and Elliot Anderson have been linked with Chelsea, but they’ve gone completely quiet in recent times.
There seems to be one midfielder that Chelsea supporters are bothered about, and that is N’Golo Kante.
It has been claimed that Kante is on a list of midfielders that Chelsea are considering, but it would all depend on the finances or type of deal.

N’Golo Kante wants a three-year deal at Fenerbahce
Chelsea aren’t the only team in the hunt for Kante’s services, as Fenerbahce have also been working tirelessly to try and find a solution with the Frenchman.
According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Fenerbahce have decided to make one last attempt for N’Golo Kante, with the 34-year-old interested in playing in Turkey.
It is stated that Kante demands a three-year contract from Fenerbahce, as well as having the expectation of a salary in the region of 10 million Euros (£8.6 million).
This doesn’t bode well for Chelsea, who will likely be looking for a loan deal.

No chance N’Golo Kante joins Chelsea permanently
It’s frustrating if Kante is looking for a permanent deal somewhere to ensure some stability at this stage in his career, as Chelsea only really needs him on a short-term deal.
Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo are highly rated at Chelsea, but their injuries have forced Liam Rosenior to turn to the transfer market for a midfielder.
Douglas Luiz was only ever going to be until the end of the season, which paints a clear picture on Chelsea’s thinking right now.
With Chelsea’s new policy of aiming for younger players, it seems unlikely that Kante could end up back at Stamford Bridge unless he has different demands for the Blues.
