Milwaukee Bucks legend says he can give the team a boost amid horrid 2025-26 NBA season

The Milwaukee Bucks are 18-26 on the season and continue to fall further behind in the standings. Currently, they are in 11th place in the NBA Eastern Conference and sit three games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the 10th spot, which is the final seed in the play-in tournament bracket.

And while they have 38 games left to play, they are unfortunately going forward with no idea as to when Giannis Antetokounmpo will be able to return from his latest calf injury. The 10-time All-Star already missed most of the month of December with a previous calf injury.

While Giannis himself gave a 4-6 week timetable for how much time he would miss, head coach Doc Rivers says there is no timetable for when he could be back.

Milwaukee Bucks legend Brandon Jennings says he could give the team a boost

The fact of the matter is that the Bucks, even with Giannis on the floor, have not been playing good basketball. They desperately need a boost, even if from off the bench, in order to play with more energy on a consistent basis.

And Milwaukee legend Brandon Jennings posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he could do it:

I can give yall a cooooooool 15-18mins a night. 11pts 5assist 4rebs lol https://t.co/EJLluvBZZq

— Brandon Jennings (@Tuff__Crowd) January 26, 2026

As one can see, Jennings posted that he believes he can give the Bucks 11 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game in 15-18 minutes (which would be a bench role).

Jennings has not played in the NBA since the 2017-18 season, during which he averaged 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in 14.6 minutes for Milwaukee. He appeared in 14 games for the Bucks that season.

And while it may sound odd, Phillip Rivers returned to the NFL after five years in retirement to play a few games for the Indianapolis Colts. With the Bucks as bad as they have been, it would not be surprising to see them explore just about any and every opportunity to boost the team.
