FC Barcelona have announced that they have finalised the departure of young academy prospect Adrian Simon Gill, who will be joining MLS club Atlanta United.

“FC Barcelona and Atlanta United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Adrian Simon Gill,” the club statement read.

Adrian Gill joined Barcelona’s youth academy in the summer of 2018 from UE Cornella. The midfielder had shown great promise in his early years at La Masia.

However, in recent seasons, injuries slowed his footballing development, and Gill was unable to gain regular prominence with either the Juvenil A side or Barça Atletic.

At Atlanta United, the Denver-born starlet will work under former Barcelona head coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, as he begins a new stage of his career in MLS.
