Manchester City have finalised their training ground preparations ahead of the last league phase clash in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Pep Guardiola and his players will be looking to end their league phase campaign on a high after disappointment in the last matchday, as the seventh encounter brought about a shock 3-1 defeat in the Arctic Circle to Bodo/Glimt.
Victory for the Norwegian side in the city of Bodo meant that Manchester City left themselves needing victory on the final match of the league phase set-up, where they will take on Turkish giants Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
Despite defeat last week, Manchester City returned to winning ways over the weekend and also recorded their first victory of 2026 in the Premier League via a 2-0 clash with Wolves courtesy of goals from Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo.
The latter – alongside fellow January recruit Marc Guehi – remains ineligible in the Champions League until City register them as part of their squad list, with those changes due to be made ahead of the knockout rounds of the competition.
Now, as City finalise preparations for matchday eight of their league phase adventure in the latest edition of the UEFA Champions League, here is the complete list of players spotted on the City Football Academy pitches from the first 15 minutes of the session!
24-man Manchester City squad in training
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, James Trafford, Stefan Ortega Moreno, Marcus Bettinelli.
Defenders: Matheus Nunes, Rico Lewis, Abdukodir Khusanov, Max Alleyne, Marc Guehi, Stephen Mfuni, Nathan Ake, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nico O’Reilly.
Midfielders: Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Tijjani Reijnders, Divine Mukasa, Phil Foden.
Forwards: Ryan McAidoo, Antoine Semenyo, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush.
While Nico Gonzalez’s return will be the obvious boost for Manchester City given the suspension to Rodri following his red card against Bodo/Glimt, a number of absentees remain from the training squad.
In defence, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, and John Stones all remain sidelined through respective injury problems, and those remaining in the squad will be key given Marc Guehi is ineligible for this one.
In midfield, Oscar Bobb continues to remain out of the squad through injury while he progresses on a move towards Fulham according to reports, while Mateo Kovacic, Kalvin Phillips, and Savinho are also sidelined.
