First off let’s begin by saying to all of the “sky is falling” pundits, please be realistic. Every team, no matter how good, will face a stretch of mediocre play and poor results in the Premier League season. Let’s just say Arsenal is in that position right now. Sure, Mikel Arteta’s squad has picked-up only two points in their last three league matches. That’s not great, I will concede that, however, the Gunners still remain on top of the Premier League table with a four point lead over Man City and Villa. So, come on. Calm down, take a deep breath and relax. Arsenal has lost only three matches this season. Three! Now, if this continues moving forward, then we all have something to worry about. Okay?
What that said, the Gunners play their final UCL League Phase match on Wednesday v Kairat Almaty, who is currently at the bottom of the table with only one point and one draw to the club’s credit after seven matches played.
So, we should expect Arteta to rotate his squad considerably against the Kazakhstian club, not only because of the opponent’s record, but also because Arsenal has secured a top eight finish and have qualified or the Round of 16.
Here’s my predicted line-up v Kairat Almaty in Wednesday at Emirates Stadium…
[4-3-3]
Martinelli, Gyokeres, Madueke
Norgaard, Eze, Zubimendi
Lewis-Skelly, Hancapie, Mosquera, White
Kepa
Predicted final score: ARSENAL 4 – Kairat Almaty 0
