Moises Caicedo admits he really misses playing with 'world class' player at Chelsea

Moises Caicedo has been one of the standout performers for Chelsea under Liam Rosenior.

Chelsea have realised the importance of Moises Caicedo, with plans to offer him a new and improved deal at Stamford Bridge.

He’s one of the first names on the teamsheet and rightly so. Liam Rosenior has even labelled Caicedo as one of the best midfielders in world football, and he’s not wrong.

However, he spent his time speaking about Romeo Lavia in his press conference ahead of the Napoli game, with his selflessness on full display.

Moises Caicedo can’t wait for Romeo Lavia to return

Romeo Lavia is now back in Chelsea training, which is the clearest sign yet that he’s at least heading in the right direction after months of mystery.

Caicedo is rather excited, as he labelled the midfielder as ‘world class’.

“As the manager said, he [Romeo Lavia] is a world class player. I enjoy playing with him. I miss him because he’s a very good player. He helped me a lot. I am waiting for him because he’s such a good player. He’s going to do very well here.”

Chelsea have won 14 of 23 games that Lavia and Caicedo have played together, which includes just four losses.

But, with the way Andrey Santos and Enzo Fernandez are playing this season, he will find it difficult to work his way back into the XI.
