Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is not yet ready to return to the court while recovering from his knee injury.
Denver Nuggets / Schedule
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Jokic is expected to miss "about a week" due to the injury.
Jokic, who went down with the knee injury in late December, was originally given at least four weeks to recover.
Now, him missing another week of action means he will likely miss out on end-of-season awards, as he has already missed 14 of the 17 games he could miss and still be eligible for the awards.
The Serbian big man had been having another historic season before the injury, averaging a triple-double with 29.6 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game.
Without Jokic, the Nuggets have been able to remain among the top teams in the Western Conference, currently sitting third with a 31-15 record.
