Real Madrid are building for the future and as such don't want to sell any of their players who they deem vital in the club's project. That's why Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have failed to persuade Los Blancos to part with one of their star men despite reportedly offering €100 million each.
There are expected to be plenty of changes made to Madrid's squad in the summer with midfield an area that could do with one or two new faces. Creativity has been somewhat lacking at the Estadio Bernabeu this season and there has been talk of a possible Nico Paz return.
As for outgoings it will be interesting to see whether any of the current first-team are made available for sale. The team is brimming with world class talent but that means several high-profile players lack desired game time.
### Real Madrid reject Liverpool and Tottenham offers
One player who has been a regular in Madrid's team this season is Aurelien Tchouameni. The French midfielder has appeared 28 times across competitions.
According to [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/clubes-premier-league-ofrecen-100-millones-tchouameni-20260124.html), Liverpool and Spurs have both presented Los Blancos with offers of €100 million for the 26-year-old. The La Liga giants' stance is that they are preparing to keep the holding midfielder as they view him as "one of the pillars of their project."
Tchouameni joined Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2022 for around €80 million. They saw off competition from the Merseysiders for the Frenchman and he has since been an important player at the Estadio Bernabeu.
While the report points out that the club haven't made a final decision it's indicated that he is part of the club's long-term plans. That makes sense given he is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe.
Tchouameni's influence can't go understated as Madrid's 2-0 win over Viillarreal on the weekend was the first time the team has won without him featuring this season. He sat the game out due to suspension but will be available for the clash against Benfica tomorrow (January 28th).
### No chance of Madrid selling Tchouameni
Tchouameni is still to reach his peak and has so much to give this Madrid side that a sale is extremely unlikely. While it hadn't been the best of seasons under Xabi Alonso he remains an integral part of Los Blancos' squad.
The French star still has over two years left on his contract so there is no pressure for the club to consider entertaining offers. He is happy with life in the Spanish capital and will be eager to end this season with more trophy success.
