Keon Ellis Trade: Lakers facing huge competition from four teams for Kings guard

In the latest Keon Ellis trade front report, Minnesota, Indiana, Boston and New York have expressed interest in the Sacramento guard.

The Keon Ellis sweepstakes is on with less than two weeks left before the Feb. 5 trade deadline.

Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule

As such, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento revealed that the defensive guard has drawn plenty of interest from Minnesota, Indiana, Boston and New York. These are the latest batch of teams to join the hunt of Ellis alongside the Los Angeles Lakers.

"I know for a fact that there are tons of teams that have called the Sacramento Kings on Keon Ellis," he noted.

"According to my sources, there are a couple of names you need to keep in mind: the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Indiana Pacers, the Boston Celtics, and the New York Knicks have all called on Keon Ellis."

Ellis stands as one of the most prominent names to watch in the trade market. In the wake of his regressed play under head coach Doug Christie and a cheap contract worth $2.3 million this 2025-26 and next year, teams certainly identify him as a significant low-cost value move.

Yet apparently, Sacramento is trying to make the most out of the warm interest around Ellis. There is a significant belief around the league that the Kings are looking for a first-round pick from the 26-year-old.

For now, it remains to be seen which team will satisfy the Kings' demands and obtain the 3-and-D play of Ellis.
