Facing his former Washington Wizards team, the Israeli star (back) has been activated to play by the Blazers. Interim head coach Tiago Splitter told reporters in pregame that he expects Avdija to play.
Avdija has missed the last two games for Portland after he sustained a new back injury. His return would be critical as the Blazers dropped both matches without him.
The 25-year-old is set to become an All-Star for the first time in his career this 2025-26. He is flashing a huge breakout season, averaging 26.0 points, 7.1 boards and 6.9 assists in 42 games played.
With Avdija back in the lineup, Sidy Cissoko will return to the second unit for the Blazers.
