A Suns game, 400 kids, and a memory that lasts

Tonight’s the night. Dave King’s Bright Side Night. 400+ underprivileged kids walking into a Phoenix Suns game, eyes wide, senses overloaded. The sights. The sounds. The smell of Wetzel’s Pretzels and hot dogs. The kind of night that sticks with you long after the final buzzer. They’ll be loud and the team will hear them.

The hope is not only that they see a Suns win, but that they leave with something bigger. A memory. A spark. A feeling that this game, this team, this place belongs to them too. Who knows, maybe the next great Suns podcaster or Bright Side contributor has their origin story written tonight.

So thank you. Truly. To everyone who donated time, money, energy, or effort to make this happen. To everyone who gave selflessly. This matters more than the box score ever will.

Before tipoff, there’s a special Q and A with Suns legend and current team ambassador Rex Chapman. I’ll do my best to capture the moment and bring those quotes back here to Bright Side. Nights like this are why this community exists. Thank you for making it real.
