NBA icon backs Hall of Fame candidacy of Derrick Rose

For Reggie Miller, being the youngest MVP ever is already enough for D-Rose to enter the Naismith Hall of Fame.

Following the retirement of his No. 1 jersey by the Chicago Bulls, serious talks have emerged around Derrick Rose regarding his potential entry to the Hall of Fame. But while there are many who are doubting his candidacy, Reggie Miller thinks that the former superstar guard simply deserves it.

The Indiana Pacers legend has fully campaigned Rose to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in his recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show.

"I would be surprised if he doesn’t," Miller said. "He would be the only MVP not to be in the Hall of Fame. If he didn’t get in on the first ballot, I doubt he’ll be first ballot, but he’ll get in at some point. For a six- to eight-year stretch, he and LeBron were battling for who was the best player in the game.

"The youngest MVP—I would be surprised if at some point he doesn’t get in. All MVPs get there."
