Marc Stein reports that Dalton Knecht could have a fresh start ahead of the upcoming Trade Deadline. Knecht was supposed to be traded to the Charlotte Hornets last year before the trade was rescinded due to Mark Williams failing his medical.
The Los Angeles Lakers could potentially be active on the trade market ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

One of the names expected to leave Tinseltown if a trade occurs is Dalton Knecht
As NBA insider Marc Stein reported on his website, Knecht is among the players who could be headed for a fresh start in a new environment soon.
“Another player to watch in terms of possible fresh starts is the Lakers' Dalton Knecht, who was traded to Charlotte a year ago before being forced to return to LA when the purple and gold rescinded its deal to acquire Mark Williams from the Hornets," Stein said on his Substack.
As mentioned, Knecht was supposed to join the Hornets last season before the trade was rescinded a few days later due to Mark Williams failing his medical tests.
Knecht’s minutes have dipped in his sophomore season with the Lakers, as he is playing just 12.8 minutes per game in 35 matches this season.
During that span, Knecht is averaging 4.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and shooting 32% from three-point range.
