PSG will look to end the UEFA Champions League league phase with a win over Newcastle United on Jan. 28 at the Parc des Princes. After a sloppy display in their loss to Sporting Lisbon, the reigning Champions League winners are looking for a bounce-back performance.
The Parisians are in the Top 8 with 13 points heading into this match and with a win would avoid the play-off knockout round. Meanwhile, the Magpies are also in the Top 8 with 13 points, so both teams need a win to qualify directly into the Round of 16.
Furthermore, the Parisians have won four of their last six matches to start 2026, so they will be hoping their final game of January ends in a win.

“I watched all of those matches, and they impressed me a great deal,” Howe said (h/tParis Fans). “It is truly a team you can admire, because of the way it plays, how the coach has helped it evolve, and how it hasbeen strengthened through well-chosen signings.
“There are many aspects of this side that deserve praise, especially a playing style that is quite unique. They are not trying to copy anyone. It is also worth noting that they have very athletic players in every position, and technically, they are all very strong. For me, this is the ultimate test, the toughest match we could play.”
