All the latest injury news surrounding Chelsea and Napoli ahead of their Champions League clash.

Chelsea are back in Champions League action on Wednesday night when they face Napoli in a tough-looking away clash. This is the final league phase round, with all teams playing at the same time in the name of fairness.

The Blues are currently in the final automatic progression spot, just goal difference ahead of Barcelona, and given how close the standings are, they will likely have to win in Naples to avoid a play-off. The stakes are even greater for injury-hit Napoli, who are currently goal difference outside the play-off spots, meaning they will likely need to win to stay in the competition.

Ahead of the clash, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams.

David Neres - Out

Neres has undergone ankle surgery this week and will not be available for a while.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic - Out

Milinkovic-Savic is going to miss this one with a thigh strain.

Matteo Politano - Out

The winger will miss out with a muscular issue.

Amir Rrahmani - Out

Rrahmani is sidelined with a thigh injury and won’t be available to face Chelsea.

Frank Anguissa - Out

The strong midfielder is not available due to a hamstring injury.

Billy Gilmour - Out

The former Chelsea man underwent surgery in late autumn and is still working towards a return.

Kevin de Bruyne - Out

De Bruyne underwent hamstring surgery in October and is still yet to return.

Cole Palmer - Fit

Palmer missed the Palace game but Rosenior has confirmed that the attacker has travelled and will be in contention,

Filip Jorgensen - Fit

Jorgensen is also fit and has travelled after missing the Palace game.

Tosin Adarabioyo - Out

Rosenior said last week: “Tosin won't be available for this game. Unfortunately, he felt something in his hamstring, which is going to rule him out for the next few weeks. I can't be anymore precise than that at this moment in terms of any timelines.” The defender will remain out here.

Romeo Lavia - Out

Lavia is now getting close but he has not travelled for this one. Rosenior has said: “Obviously, his recent history has not been what he's wanted in terms of minutes on the pitch and his health. Romeo is an outstanding player and has the potential and ability to be a world-class midfield player when he's back and if he stays fit. So we're taking it really, really carefully with him. He has to clear a few more hurdles to train fully, but it's great to see him back with the players today.”

Dario Essugo - Out

Essugo is back out, with Rosenior confirming last week: “Dario has picked up a really unfortunate injury. He slipped in training, and he’s going to be out for a while. We expect him to be out for over a month, which is a real shame because he’s an outstanding player.”

Levi Colwill - Out (Not eligible and not counted towards total)

Colwill is out for the season with a serious knee injury. It was confirmed back in August: “Levi has today undergone successful surgery [for] an ACL injury. Medical assessments confirmed surgery would be the required course of action. Levi will now begin his recovery and be supported by the medical department at Cobham during his rehab phase.”

Mykhailo Mudryk - Out (Suspended and not eligible)

Mudryk is suspended. A club statement in the summer read: “We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA's Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time.” Mudryk is not included in the final count due to the nature of his absence.
