Karl-Anthony Towns reacts to being benched at the end of Kings game

Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Brown reacted to Towns spending the last 7 minutes of the game against Sacramento Kings on the bench instead of Mitchell Robinson.

The New York Knicks initially struggled, but managed to beat the Sacramento Kings in Madison Square Garden, 103-87.

However, Karl-Anthony Towns was benched in crunch time, a move that has happened before.

The center from the Dominican Republic missed the last 7 minutes of the game, with Mitchell Robinson finishing the game.

"He saw what he saw," Towns said shortly about head coach Mike Brown's decision. "We got a win, that's the most important thing."

Mike Brown also commented on the decision.

"At the end of the game, we had a group out on the floor that was playing well," Brown said of Tuesday's decision."

"It was a tight ballgame, so I just rode that group to the end of the game, which I've done before. We had Deuce out there, who's not a starter, and Mitch out there, who's not a starter. We needed to get the win."

It's not something new for the Knicks' coach; he did the same with Mikal Bridges last weekend.

"During the flow of the game, you find a group of players that you feel are playing well together, and you roll with it as long as you can," he concluded.
