There has been some fresh reports in the media which have claimed that Raheem Sterling is now in talks with Chelsea about ending his nightmare at Stamford Bridge, and getting a move away before the deadline on Monday.
Sterling has been with CHELSEA for a few seasons now, but he never fulfilled the quality that he showed at Manchester City, and his time at the Bridge has been spent mostly on the bench and shifted out on loan.
And according to Corriere dello Sport, Sterling is now seriously intent on leaving Premier League giants and is looking to resolve a princely contract that has effectively become a “prison” for his career. At 31, the forward is desperate to return to action, and his profile as a versatile attacker appeals to the Napoli hierarchy.
The 31-year-old winger is currently in active discussions over a potential sale or a mutual termination of his contract with 18 months left., ending a spell on the sidelines that has seen him completely frozen out of the picture, The Daily Mail reports.
The urgency to find a resolution has increased with the transfer deadline looming on Monday.
