WithGiannis Antetokounmpo out with a calf injuryand his return to action currently up in the air, the Milwaukee Bucks are counting on the other big names on their team to step up and deliver.
Among those expected to get plenty of extra opportunities amid the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player’s absence is big man Myles Turner.
On Tuesday, Turner was able to put together a huge performance, albeit in a139-122 loss on the road at the hands of Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
One of Turner’s many baskets in the contest was this seemingly improbable shot in the first period against the defense of Embiid, who, before the game, was called by Milwaukee head coach Doc Rivers as the most talented player he’s ever coached.

Turner initially appeared to be looking to hand off the ball to guard Ryan Rollins, but Rollins changed course, leaving Turner to find a way to make the possession end in something positive for the Bucks.
Putting the ball on the floor, the former Texas Longhorns star attacked the lane and finished with a tough layup while also drawing a foul from the Sixers’ star center.
Bucks’ Turner had a big scoring night in loss to the 76ers
The 29-year-old Turner paced his team with 31 points on a 10-for-16 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers on eight attempts from behind the arc. He added four rebounds, three assists and two blocks, but those numbers weren’t enough to pull Milwaukee to a win.
So far in the 2025-26 NBA season, Turner is averaging 12.8 points, 5.3 and 1.6 blocks per outing.
The 18-27 Bucks, now on a three-game losing streak, will next face the Washington Wizards on the road on Thursday.
