Why Barcelona have decided not to go for Etta Eyong in summer transfer window

Barcelona are being tipped not to pursue a move for Etta Eyong this summer after making a final decision on the 22-year-old forward.

However, it’s now being reported that Barcelona have decided to drop their interest in Eyong and look elsewhere.

Diario Sport say that Barcelona were keen last summer when he was available for around €3 million but aren’t willing to pay the €30m it’s likely to take to bring him in at the end of the season.

A host of Premier League clubs are also said to be willing, and financially able, to active his release clause and Barcelona don’t want to enter the bidding.
