Liverpool’s win last week elevated them from 11th to 4th in the Champions League table, which just goes to show how tight it is around the automatic qualification spots. Indeed, there are just 3 points separating 15th placed Juventus and 3rd placed Real Madrid. Should Liverpool win tonight, they will likely maintain their spot in 4th, but a draw and or a loss, and things will get dicey, having instead to rely on teams around them dropping points in order to ensure a top 8 finish.
I know winning a match at home against an underdog is kind of a big ask this season, Liverpool, but please for Fowler’s sake just fucking win.
