West Ham Lining Up Double Swoop On London Rivals Following Igor Julio Decision

West Ham can now sign two players on domestic loans before the transfer window closes after deciding to end Igor Julio’s spell early.

The Brazilian has only played four times since joining from Brighton on Deadline Day at the beginning of September.

However, The Guardian claim that Julio’s departure has paved the way for both Antonin Kinsky and Axel Disasi to be brought in ahead of Monday evening.

It is believed that an enquiry has already been made to Tottenham for the former, with talks involving a loan proposal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

In Disasi’s case, it is not known how far talks have progressed, but reports in France earlier this week suggested that a dialogue between the Hammers and Chelsea had been opened.

Why do West Ham want Kinsky?

Head coach Nuno Espirito is not happy with his goalkeeping options. An approach was made to sign Bento from Al-Ittihad earlier this month, while there have also been links with other shot-stoppers, including Toulouse’s Guillaume Restes and Lazio Christos Mandas (who has subsequently joined Bournemouth).

Kinsky is currently understudy to Guglielmo Vicario, and he would likely jump at the chance of getting more first-team opportunities elsewhere.

The club have a good chance of landing Disasi

Chelsea have been seeking a suitor for the France international since the summer transfer window. He was deemed surplus to requirements following his return from Aston Villa, and he has been training with the club’s Under 21s. He hasn’t played a single minute of senior football this season.

The Blues only have so many loan slots for clubs abroad, and it means that teams domestically have better odds of signing Disasi. With the Hammers having freed up one of their own loan spots by releasing Igor, it opens up an avenue for the Chelsea defender to be brought in.
