Liverpool team confirmed to face Qarabag in the Champions League at Anfield.

Curtis Jones has been added to Liverpool's unavailability list as they face Qarabag in the Champions League.

The midfielder is absent from the Reds' squad along with Ibrahima Konate (compassionate leave), Joe Gomez (hip), Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni (both knee), Alexander Isak (broken leg), Jayden Danns, Stefan Bajcetic (both hamstring) and Calvin Ramsay (ineligible).

Jones is ill so he is not included in Arne Slot's set-up for the final fixture of the league phase. It leaves Liverpool even shorter of first-team players, with Slot already concerned how his squad is being stretched.

In total, two changes have been made from the 3-2 loss against Bournemouth in the Premier League. Andy Robertson starts at left-back ahead of Milos Kerkez, while Hugo Ekitike is back to spearhead the attack. He replaces the injured Gomez.

Ryan Gravenberch appears set to feature at centre-back alongside Virgil van Dijk. Wataru Endo came off the bench to replace Gomez at Bournemouth but the Japan international is named among the substitutes. Endo has recently recovered from an ankle injury.

Slot has just three senior outfield players - Endo, Kerkez and the returning Federico Chiesa - in reserve. Youngsters Amara Nallo and Kieran Morrison have been called up to supplement the squad, with Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni on the bench as expected.

A victory for Liverpool over Qarabag will guarantee a place in the last 16 of the Champions League - and a home fixture in the second leg.

Liverpool: Alisson, Van Dijk, Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Gakpo, Ekitike, Robertson, Frimpong, Gravenberch.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Endo, Kerkez, Chiesa, Nyoni, Nallo, Morrison, Ngumoha.
