Chelsea fans question Liam Rosenior's decision
Chelsea fans are questioning Liam Rosenior after his decision with the starting XI against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League. They are puzzled with Reece James starting at center-back and Pedro Neto keeping his place in the lineup.
Robert Sanchez keeps his place in goal despite Filip Jorgensen, the cup goalkeeper, returning to the squad. Malo Gusto and Marc Cucurella are thechosen full-backs today.
Reece James makes a surprise start at center-back today, and he has Wesley Fofana to partner him. Moises Caicedo and Andrey Santos start in the pivot, with Enzo Fernandez playing in the attacking midfield role. Pedro Neto and Estevao Willian keep their place in the starting XI from the Crystal Palace win, as does Joao Pedro, who leads the attack.
Chelsea fans are left confused with the starting XI, as they believe Jamie Gittens or Alejandro Garnacho should have gotten a start on the left wing. Moreover, some are not happy with James starting at center-back while Josh Acheampong and Jorrel Hato are on the bench.

Chelsea have been handed a boost with Cole Palmer, as he is on the bench tonight after not being a part of the matchday squad against Crystal Palace.
Chelsea boss provides update on Romeo Lavia
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has said that they are being careful with Romeo Lavia because of his recent injury troubles. He said that they want to give him enough time before making a return to the pitch, as he has a lot of potential and see him as a key player for the future.
"In terms of Romeo, obviously, in his recent history, it's not been what he's wanted in terms of minutes on the pitch. In terms of his health, what I want for every player, not just Romeo, who has the potential and the ability to be a world-class midfielder, is that when he's back he stays fit. We're taking it really carefully with him. He has to clear a few more hurdles to fully train, but it's great to see him back with the players today. I know his qualities and I know what he can bring. If we can keep him fit, I'm very excited to work with him."
Romeo Lavia has played just over 30 matches for Chelsea since joining in 2023. He was a target for Liverpool, but opted to join the Blues just like Moises Caicedo did a few days before the transfer.
