The Los Angeles Lakers go into the back of their eight-game road trip with an Eastern Conference challenge on Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET with TV coverage on ESPN and streaming on-demand.

Lakers vs. Cavaliers: The matchup
The Lakers are 3-1 through the first four games of the trip with victories over the Denver Nuggets (115-107), Dallas Mavericks (116-110) and Chicago Bulls (129-118) and a big scoring binge from Luka Doncic. The superstar has topped 30 points in every game of the road trip so far, starting with a 38-13-10 triple-double at Denver last Tuesday and most recently going for 46-11-7 in Monday’s win over the Bulls.

The Cavs will welcome back Ohio native and former face of the franchise LeBron James in a matchup where they open as 3.5-point favorites at Rocket Arena. Cleveland enters having won four straight games and six of its past seven, improving to 28-20 overall and seven games back of the Detroit Pistons for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Last time out, Donovan Mitchell dropped 45 points and the Cavs beat the Orlando Magic (114-98) for the second time in three nights.
