Kendry Paez’s next club will be River Plate as he’s set to join them on loan after Chelsea agreed to end his loan at Strasbourg.
Chelsea are making progress when it comes to outgoings at Stamford Bridge.
Raheem Sterling’s time at the club has finally come to an end after agreeing on a deal to terminate his contract, so he now enters free agency.
The most important part of that particular exit is that Chelsea managed to bypass the £22 million it would have cost them to pay Sterling, via a way that is yet to be disclosed.
It doesn’t stop there, though, as Kendry Paez looks to be the next to make a move.

Kendry Paez set to join River Plate on loan
Chelsea had high hopes for Kendry Paez after joining in the summer, but he struggled for consistency after a positive start at sister club Strasbourg.
Managing only four starts in 15 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring just one goal. However, Paez was awarded the Young Player of the Month award in the French league towards the start of his time there.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Strasbourg have allowed Kendry Paez to leave and join Argentinian side River Plate on loan instead.
It’s stated that Strasbourg have decide to trust Gessime Yassine as a new signing, with a clear strategy to develop their new 20-year-old instead.

Chelsea make a U-turn on Kendry Paez
Futbol Ecuador stated that Chelsea wanted Paez to spend the season on loan in Europe to help him adapt, but that plan appears to have been cancelled already.
At just 18 years of age, a move back to South America makes sense. It’s a climate he knows and the football will be similar to what he’s used to.
He must be playing regular football to develop at his age, with the hope that he transforms into the player they know they signed.
There’s also a case of Estevao Willian being so good that it has raised the expectation that Paez should be of a similar ability.
