Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland shone as Manchester City defeated Galatasaray 2-0 to book their place in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola made four changes to his starting line up from the weekend win over Wolves, and it almost produced immediate results when Erling Haaland headed just wide of the goal from close range. It didn't take long for the striker to make amends, as he gave City the lead with a delightful chipped finish.

Nico O'Reilly almost doubled the lead with a thunderous strike while Victor Osimhen forced a rare stop from Gianluigi Donnarumma in the City goal. The Blues were the better side and soon doubled their lead when Doku found Rayan Cherki and he placed the ball into the back of the net.

Galatasaray started brightly after the break but were unable to find a way through a vulnerable City backline as Donnarumma made another fine stop to deny Osimhen.
