Alejandro Garnacho's new face tattoo and what it stands for
Alejandro Garnacho has added yet another tattoo to his collection as Chelsea prepare to take on Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Argentinian winger will be available to face the Italian's in a crunch European fixture which could see them secure automatic qualification.
According to a translation, the tattoo reads 'Valiente', which means brave and courageous. The tattoo is in red ink and is on the side of his face, standing out as a bold new look.
While there is no official count of Garnacho's tattoos, he is known for having a high amount of body art. This includes two full sleeves and now a new face piece too.
Other recent pieces include a neck tattoo he added in late 2025, which reads, 'Nunca es suerte, siempre es Dios.' This translates to 'It’s never luck, it’s always God.'
Anime and manga shows are also an inspiration for his other tattoos. Popular TV shows like Stranger Things and Prison Break are also represented.
Fans will be hoping Garnacho will be fully focused on Chelsea's game in Europe on Wednesday evening as the Blues aim for the top eight of the Champions League table. The club currently were in eighth place ahead of the match.
A win against Napoli will all-but-confirm Liam Rosenior's side will head straight to the knockout rounds of the competition. But a draw or loss leaves the Blues place in the balance, with sides like Barcelona, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid also sitting on 13 points and vying for the top spots.
