Liam Rosenior press conference LIVE: Chelsea boss on Napoli win, Joao Pedro goals, Palmer impact

Hello and welcome to **football.london** for live coverage of Liam Rosenior's post-match press conference following Chelsea's 3-2 victory against Napoli.

It turned out to be a memorable evening for the Blues in Naples with Joao Pedro proving the hero. The Brazilian forward scored twice in the second-half for the visitors in Italy as they came from a goal behind to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.

Enzo Fernandez handed Chelsea the lead from the penalty spot early on but Napoli went into the half-time break in the lead. However, a fightback from Rosenior's Blues in the second period means they can look forward to more European football this season.

We will hear shortly from Rosenior to find out what he thought of the game. **Bobby Vincent** is in Naples to bring you word-for-word updates from Rosenior's press conference.

> For sure. Carlo Ancelotti is one of my heroes so I don't want to tell him how to do his job. I've had four really good conversations with Joao already in my office - I think he's sick of my office. I've said to him that if you play intensely the way you do with your quality.

> It's not bad. But again, it's not about me. I'm here to win and it's my job to win games as manager of Chelsea. I'm already focused on West Ham on Saturday.

> It's not about me. I give the credit to the players. They lost a manager they really expected for reasons beyond my control or knowledge. To accept a new manager the way they have done and work as hard as they have done for me, it's a credit to them. Hopefully we can have more really great nights like this.

> I wanted to go man for man all over the pitch; I wanted to be really aggressive. When Napoli started to miss our press out and go more direct, the distances were a bit bigger.

22:37Bobby Vincent

> I think it's a combination of both. There's no way Cole could have started this game and played 60/70 minutes. I thought later in the game we would be stronger. I thought Cole was magnificent. We need to look after him. The way he's managed himself in the last two weeks has been magnificent. He's a world-class player. There's been a lot of talk about Cole - he was a very, very happy man in the changing room after the game.

22:36Bobby Vincent

> Firstly to get through in this competition is the most important thing. In terms of the season and time on the pitch with the players, it will help. I've had no time - that's not an excuse, it's a fact.
