It didn’t go to plan. Chelsea were constantly caught out at the back with Fofana basically having to cover the space himself, as Napoli easily bypassed the press.
A change was made with Trevoh Chalobah coming on in the second-half, but the mind still wonders what the new Chelsea boss was thinking.
Liam Rosenior reveals the reason behind his centre-back experiment
Chelsea fans finally have their answer on the mystery decision, and it doesn’t make sense.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Rosenior had this to say.
“I wanted to be aggressive in the first half. We corrected it at half-time, made personnel changes… we won in a different way than I expected. First team to win here in a long time…”
This makes things even more confusing after watching the first-half display, as Chelsea were far from aggressive with how they approached the game.
