Domantas Sabonis trade: Asking price of Kings revealed

The Kings are reportedly looking for a first-round pick in a potential deal around the Lithuanian star.

As the Feb. 5 trade deadline looms, Domantas Sabonis stands as one of the few names to watch that might be on the move.

But apparently, the Sacramento Kings would like to get a first-round pick in order to let go of the Lithuanian big man, per NBA insider Michael Scotto.

"In trade talks involving Sabonis, the Kings told at least one interested team that they’d like a first-round pick in return, HoopsHype has learned. Over the next two seasons, Sabonis is owed a combined $94.08 million," Scotto wrote.

The Kings are currently in the basement of the league standings with a 12-36 record. In a potential rebuild looming, a draft asset will truly be significant in their plans.

Sabonis has been linked to the Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns and the Chicago Bulls.

He missed most of this 2025-26 season due to a partially torn meniscus in his left knee. In 17 games, he is averaging 15.5 points, 11.4 boards and 4.2 assists.
