Cleveland Cavaliers top trade candidate emerge ahead of February deadline

Lonzo Ball and De'Andre Hunter are being perceived as the Cavs' trade candidates for early next month.

Like any other teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers are projected to be in the market to make necessary deals.

For the Cavs, De'Andre Hunter and Lonzo Ball have been identified as the team's main trade piece ahead of the Feb. 5 deadline according to HoopsHype NBA insider Mike Scotto.

"With the Cleveland Cavaliers $22 million over the second apron, NBA executives across the league have identified De’Andre Hunter and Lonzo Ball as potential trade candidates," he wrote.

Hunter has struggled shooting the ball this season. The wingman is averaging just 42.0 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from threes after shooting 48.5 percent and 42.6 percent from the similar areas last season.

Ball, who is on a two-year, $20 million after he was acquired last offseason, has been brutal offensively. In 21.1 minutes, he is averaging 4.8 points in 30.7 percent efficiency (27.5 percent from three).
