“Intensity” – Joao Pedro explains difference between Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has been asked what the difference is between former boss Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior.

The interview came after Pedro played a Man of the Match performance to help Chelsea beat Napoli in the Champions League last night, with the attacker scoring two very important goals.

EXCLUSIVE! Jeremy Jacquet to Chelsea could still be on for THIS window!

Chelsea got a bit lucky in places after a poor first half performance, but they were much improved in the second half and got the job done.

It needed some real individual quality and class finishing from Joao Pedro though, but his first goal was of a world class calibre without a doubt. His second goal wasn’t too shabby either and was a fine finish to put Chelsea 3-2 up and going on to win the game.

A depleted Napoli side fought hard, but Chelsea in the end just showed their edge with some individual quality and more control over the game in the second half.

Liam Rosenior was heavily criticised for his strange setup in the first half, using a back three and playing only one natural centre back. But Pedro has been complimenting his head coach after the game.

Pedro spoke to TNT Sports on the difference between Liam Rosenior and Enzo Maresca:

“I think Liam is more electric. He wants us to play more with intensity and compact.”

“Enzo is more like with the ball; he’s very good as well, but that’s the difference.”

Interesting comments

I’ve not really seen these differences yet, but I’m sure it will come in time. After all, that was only Rosenior’s fifth game in charge of Chelsea last night, so we will hopefully see that come to fruition soon enough.
