Barcelona’s Champions League clash against Copenhagen was not only special in terms of sporting achievement, but it was also important for a few young stars.
According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, several players who are on the verge of signing for Barça Atletic were present at the stadium, watching the match live as they await the official confirmation of their moves to the club.
Among those in attendance were Juwensley Onstein, Patricio Pacifico, and Hamza Abdelkarim, three young players who are expected to reinforce Barcelona’s reserve side soon.
Three new signings on the horizon
One of the most closely followed cases is that of Patricio Pacifico, as the Uruguayan defender underwent his medical examination earlier in the day and later made his way to the stadium to watch the Champions League encounter.
While the deal has not yet been officially announced, the plan is for the versatile defender to join the reserve team on loan, with Barcelona holding an option to buy him in the summer.
Also present at the match was Juwensley Onstein. The Dutch defender shared his experience on social media, posting an Instagram story from one of the VIP seats behind the benches.

His attendance further confirms the expectation that his move to Barça Atletic is close to completion.
Lastly, the situation of Hamza Abdelkarim is slightly different, as the young forward was one of the first names identified by Barcelona’s scouting department, and the club is still working to close his signing.
Although everything seemed ready for the deal to be made official once he turned 18 in early January, administrative and bureaucratic issues have slowed the process.
Even so, the club remains confident that the operation will be finalised.
Interestingly, these three were not the only future Barça Atlètic players spotted at recent matches.
The aforementioned outlet confirms that during the La Liga clash between Barcelona and Oviedo, Joaquin Delgado, the reserve team’s latest signing, attended the game.
