Haaland dropped to the bench for last weekend’s Premier League clash at home to Wolves but returned to City’s starting line up for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash at home to Galatasaray.
With just ten minutes on the clock, Haaland fired his team into the lead with a lovely chipped finish and the City star’s celebration to the crowd appeared to feature a Leeds salute - nearly 26 years on from the tragic events of United’s UEFA Cup clash against the Turkish side of April 2000.
