It’s set to be a busy end to the January transfer window for Liverpool FC, with the club preparing to finalize a flurry of loan departures before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Wales international Lewis Koumas poised to join Hull City after undergoing a medical this week. The 20-year-old forward returned to Anfield earlier this month following the early termination of his Birmingham City loan, where he managed just one goal in 25 appearances.

Meanwhile, academy hotshot Keyrol Figueroa is expected to sign a new contract at Anfield before departing on loan to either League One or League Two. The 19-year-old USA youth international has been in sensational form for Liverpool’s Under-21s, netting 11 goals in 12 Premier League 2 matches this season.

And the Reds are not the only side looking to do some last-minute deals. Charlton Athletic have officially signed former Liverpool man Conor Coady from Wrexham on loan until the end of the season. The defender came through the Reds’ development academy but only made two senior appearances between 2011 and 2014 before moving on to Huddersfield.

Coady’s £2 million move to Wrexham last August has proven disastrous. After starting the first five league matches, the veteran defender fell completely out of favour under Phil Parkinson, last featuring on September 13 in a 3-1 defeat to QPR. He is now set for a fresh start with Charlton.

After putting pen to paper, Coady said to the club’s media channels: “I’m absolutely over the moon. I’m super excited to play in front of the supporters and get going. When I got the opportunity to come to this football club, it filled me with excitement. You want to be part of football clubs like this it’s a huge club and I can’t wait for the first game.”

Manager Nathan Jones added: “We’re delighted to add Conor. He is a player of immense experience and someone who has played at the highest level and played for his country. His leadership and his qualities are something we feel we needed at this time. At this point, we really felt we could utilise his leadership going into the last 18 games.”
