Liverpool negotiations – 4 clubs now in for Reds player, transfer twist on way

Liverpool’s Keyrol Figueroa is in his final year of contract, and his future remains to be clarified.

Italian agent Federico Pastorello took over managing the 19-year-old’s future in recent weeks. Two days ago, the Portuguese press reported FC Porto are in talks with Liverpool to sign him in the winter market.

On Wednesday, journalist Alvaro De La Rocha reported the player’s agent had dismissed talks with the Dragons. He also stated the forward could sign a new contract with the Reds.

La Prensa now report the latest on the Honduran-born talent’s future and interest shown by other clubs.

Arne Slot’s side have already started talks with his family and representatives to renew the contract, but thw twist is that he could leave anyway.

His situation at Anfield has clearly not gone unnoticed. A few clubs have started to make moves to sign him. This includes New York Red Bulls and Charlotte FC.

The two MLS sides have registered their formal interest in Figueroa and joined the race for his signature. At this moment in time, neither the Liverpool man nor his agent see MLS as the main option for his future.

His priority is to continue in Europe, and, according to the report, Elche CF are keen. The La Liga side have become the latest club to enter the chase for the young attacker.

La Prensa state he is handling offers, without specifying who made those proposals. The Premier League side, for their part, don’t want to see him leave, either in this window or as a free agent in the summer.

Liverpool’s desire is to renew his contract and continue negotiations with his camp.

The outlet state: ‘It’s possible the English club will renew his contract and then loan him to another team to gain playing time, although nothing is set in stone yet.’

The ‘next few hours will be crucial’ to determine his future. For now, it is still uncertain.
