Jurgen Klopp is set to return to Anfield
Liverpool have confirmed that legendary former will return to Anfield to assist in a legends game this year. The Reds are set to take on another of the German's former sides on Merseyside in March.
And it has been announced that Klopp will take his place in the Anfield dugout just 18 months after departing. Sami Hyypia, Fabio Aurelio, Gregory Vignal, Martin Kelly and Yossi Benayoun are all among the players expected to take to the pitch for the game.
Meanwhile, goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina and Sander Westerveld will also take part in the game.
The match will take place on March 28, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. A statement from Liverpool read: "Jürgen Klopp has joined the Liverpool FC Legends management team for the upcoming game against Borussia Dortmund Legends.
"Klopp will return to the Anfield dugout to assist manager Sir Kenny Dalglish for the charity match, presented by AXA and in association with Forever Reds, on Saturday March 28 (3pm GMT kick-off). Dalglish and Klopp will be joined on the touchline by LFC ambassador Ian Rush and Forever Reds chair John Aldridge."
Klopp has previously addressed the chances of him returning to as their full-time manager. He said: "I said I will never coach a different team in England so that means, if [I did return], then it's Liverpool. So, yeah, theoretically it is possible."
Away from Liverpool, Klopp has also been linked with taking the reins of Spanish giants . But chief Oliver Mintzlaff has suggested that he does not have any concern over Klopp leaving his role as the energy drink giant's head of global soccer.
“Jurgen has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be a coach at the moment,” the Red Bull chief said at an event hosted by the Leipziger Volkszeitung.

He was then in attendance at Anfield at the end of last season as Liverpool lifted the Premier League title against . The Reds have failed to hit those lofty heights this season, with under pressure amid a miserable title defence.
