Charles Lee raves about Moussa Diabate after monster double-double

The Charlotte Hornets entered Wednesday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, looking for their fourth straight win as they continue to build momentum in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

To begin the game, Charlotte's offense came out hot once again, scoring 36 points in the first quarter and eventually leading by 15 at the end of three quarters. They held that advantage throughout the fourth, cruising to their fourth consecutive win.

With the victory, Charlotte moved to 11th place in the conference and now trail the Chicago Bulls by 3.5 games for the final Play-In tournament spot.

Brandon Miller continued his impressive form, leading the team with 26 points and continuing a streak of eight consecutive games scoring 20 or more.

That said, it was all about center Moussa Diabate. Diabate had a monster night, finishing with 18 points and 19 rebounds. His rebound total originally was held at 21 but was since corrected to 19. Diabate shot 8-for-9 from the field, including a corner three towards the end of the game, his first three-point attempt and make of the season.

Following the game, head coach Charles Lee raved about his experience coaching the young center. "It means a lot to a head coach, to an organization, to his teammates. I'm so happy for him. I'm proud of him, and I'm thankful that I get to coach him. It's so exciting to watch him go out there and compete."

Diabate and the Hornets will return to action Thursday in Dallas on the second night of a back-to-back.
