Rosenior tells the media what his half time message to Chelsea players was

A lot of people have scoffed at Liam Rosenior since he was chosen as Chelsea manager, but so far the results have been great.

His new high point was last night, making half time tweaks to his setup which allowed his team to come back from 2-1 down to win 3-2. He spoke to the media after the game about the adjustments he had made which brought the Blues back into a game they could easily have given up hope in, away at Napoli.

“I was very calm with them at half time, we made a tactical adjustment at half time and came ten yards deeper with our press. I told them the game was there for us if we just manage our moments better. And we needed to hold the ball better,” the coach explained.

“We needed to make more mature decisions with the ball… overall in the second half performance I was very happy with the way we defended, the way we ran for each other and pressed. All in all, to get through, away here, was a very, very good night for us.”

As always, he’s calmly explaining what he did without making it a big deal, and also making sure the players get all the praise. He knows what he’s doing here, emotionally as well as tactically.
