Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyokeres to Start; Timber Out: Arsenal Predicted Lineup vs Leeds United

Arsenal are preparing to play against Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners are hoping to bounce back in the league after their disappointing 3-2 loss to Man United last weekend, which saw rivals Man City close the gap at the top of the table to just four points.

During the week, Arsenal did see a positive result, as they beat Kairat 3-2 in the Champions League, although they had already secured their spot in the Champions League knockout phase the previous week against Inter.

Mikel Arteta won’t underestimate Leeds this weekend, as they are unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 games. So, the Arsenal boss’ lineup decisions could have a huge impact.

White replaces Timber at right-back

GK – David Raya – Raya was rested against Kairat, so he should be in line to start again this weekend, fresh for the Leeds game.

LB – Riccardo Calafiori – Calafiori is fully back from his injury, and so should slot back into his natural left-back spot.

CB – William Saliba –Saliba is an injury doubt for the game on Saturday, but it isn’t expected to be a major issue, so he should still start.

CB – Gabriel – The Brazil international will be hoping to score yet again this weekend, as his goals have been a huge part of Arsenal’s success.

RB – Ben White – Timber is an injury doubt, so Arteta could be cautious and start White instead. Especially as the English full-back has impressed recently.

CM – Martin Zubimendi – Zubimendi managed to get a rest against Kairat in midweek, so will be ready to play against Leeds.

CM – Declan Rice – Rice is a must start in the Premier League when he is fit, as he has been one of the best midfielders in world football.

CAM – Kai Havertz –Havertz started as an attacking midfielder in midweek, and looked excellent. He was able to unlock Viktor Gyokeres’ talents.

Gyokeres starts up front for Arsenal

LW – Leandro Trossard – Belgian international Leandro Trossard starts ahead of Gabriel Martinelli, as Trossard has been preferred this season.

RW – Bukayo Saka – Saka has struggled for form in recent weeks, so he could do with scoring against Leeds.

ST – Viktor Gyokeres – Gyokeres scored and assisted against Kairat in midweek, so earns the start this weekend.
