Jurgen Klopp's imminent return to Anfield will mean different things to different people. For the manager's wife Ulla, though, it will be a chance to return to a city which she firmly made her home.
Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season, handing the reins to Arne Slot. He has promised to never manage another Premier League club but has remained part of the footballing world, joining Red Bull as the company's global head of soccer in 2025.
The German made his first Anfield return at the end of the 2024/25 campaign to watch Slot's champions after they had already clinched the Premier League title. Now, he is set to follow that with a return to the dugout which he occupied for the best part of nine years.
Klopp will join Kenny Dalglish as part of the management team for a Liverpool Legends side when they take on another of his former clubs, Borussia Dortmund, in a charity match for the LFC Foundation at the end of March. He is an honorary ambassador for the club's official charity and will manage a side containing former Reds captain Steven Gerrard.

Ulla Sandrock, who has been married to Klopp since 2005, invested her time and money into the local community during the near-decade her husband spent as manager. Her efforts included a substantial donation to Formby Community Football Club during lockdown in 2020, and it didn't end there.
Previously, the ECHO reported that she also gave out £1,000 worth of food vouchers to supermarket staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. The gift was a thank you to those who served her at her local branch of Waitrose in Formby and was shared evenly among multiple staff members.
"This was an incredible thing to do," a staff member was quoted as saying. "Typically, Ulla didn't want to make a fuss, or receive any recognition, and just wanted people working in shops to get the recognition they deserve."

Klopp and his wife made Formby their home and were regularly spotted at local pubs. The connection with the city meant Liverpool's manager had to seriously consider his decision to walk away from Anfield following Ulla's input and indeed thanked her for convincing him to stay in the dugout as long as he did.
"The most important contract I signed in my life was the one with Ulla," Klopp said in 2022 after extending his contract until 2026. "And that's why it started again, because actually we sat at the kitchen table and Ulla said, 'I can't see us leaving in 2024.'
"I said, 'What?' That's how it all started and when that started I thought, 'Let's have a think.'" Ultimately he did still end up leaving his role in 2024, but Klopp will now be back very soon.
