Report: The Warriors' Trade Offer For Giannis Has Leaked

The Golden State Warriors might go all out in their pursuit of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It was reported Wednesday that Milwaukee will field trade calls for Antetokounmpo before the trade deadline. The two-time MVP hasn't been pleased with the way the past few seasons have played out. According to ESPN's Anthony Slater, the Warriors have contacted the Bucks to see what the asking price for Antetokounmpo would be. The front office in Golden State would like to maximize their championship potential during the final few years of the Steph Curry era.

If the Bucks are willing to move Antetokounmpo before the trade deadline on Feb. 5, the Warriors reportedly have the "most appealing pick package" to offer since they can send up to four first-round picks.

The Warriors could trade their first-round picks up until 2032. Although it'd be a gamble by the Bucks, they may want to accept unprotected 2026, 2028 and 2032 unprotected first-rounders. One of those picks could age quite well depending on how things work out in Golden State.

The Warriors will have competition for Giannis.

ESPN's Shams Charania mentioned the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks as "serious suitors" for Antetokounmpo.

Prior to the start of the 2025-26 season, the Knicks reportedly had discussions with the Bucks about a blockbuster trade centered around Antetokounmpo.

"The Bucks insisted to the Knicks that they preferred not to move Antetokounmpo, but those in Milwaukee believe New York did not make a strong enough offer to continue even discussing a trade, league sources said," Charania wrote. "It's unclear how the Bucks would have responded to an all-out chase by the Knicks. The multiweek process was described by one source with direct knowledge of the talks as an exclusive negotiating window."

We can't wait to see which team wins the sweepstakes for the "Greek Freak."
