After a largely quiet transfer window for Arsenal, several deals could still get done before the Monday deadline. Following the Gunners' lavish summer spending spree, departures were always going to be the priority this month.
Ethan Nwaneri has left for Marseille on loan, while moves could beckon for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been on loan at Nottingham Forest, and one of those summer signings, Christian Norgaard. Given the Gunners' worrying form, having seen their lead whittled down to four points, it could be argued that Mikel Arteta's side needed some fresh blood this month.
However, the club's decision-makers are instead focusing on the next transfer window, when a greater array of talent will be available. Here's a round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours…
Gunners given a hurry-up
Arsenal have been given a strict deadline over Zinchenko's potential move to Ajax. The Ukrainian is set to be recalled early from his loan at Forest with a view to joining a new club. Ajax want the experienced left-back, with a transfer fee and a contract already agreed.
The sticking point, according to reports in the Netherlands, is whether Arsenal are prepared to pay up the remainder of his salary, with his Gunners deal due to expire this summer.
According to De Telegraaf, the Amsterdam giants are growing impatient at the impasse and have set the Gunners a deadline of the close of play on Thursday to sanction the move. If that is not met, they intend to look elsewhere for left-back options.
Sell-on clause frustrates Juve
Arsenal are reportedly the problem involving a potential transfer of one of their former players. When promising right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy left for Genoa in 2024, a 20 per cent sell-on clause was inserted into the deal.
That could soon come into play as Juventus want the 22-year-old, initially on loan with an obligation to buy, provided they secure Champions League football for next season.

The clause has led Genoa to set an asking price of €25m (around £21.5m), which is proving a stumbling block for Juve, according to Tuttosport.
A sale at that price would net the Gunners around £4.3m. Juve are hoping the influence of their new sporting director, Marco Ottolini, who recently joined the club from Genoa, can help get the deal over the line.
