Following a relatively subdued transfer window for Arsenal, a few deals could still materialise before Monday's deadline.

After the Gunners' substantial summer outlay, exits have understandably taken precedence this month. Ethan Nwaneri has departed for Marseille on loan, while moves could be on the cards for Oleksandr Zinchenko, currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, and Christian Norgaard, one of last summer's arrivals.

With Arsenal's concerning run of form seeing their Premier League advantage reduced to just four points, there's a case to be made that Mikel Arteta's squad required reinforcements this month. Nevertheless, the club's hierarchy are instead turning their attention towards the next transfer window, when a wider selection of talent will be on offer. Here's a summary of the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours...

Gunners given early deadline

Arsenal have been issued with a firm deadline regarding Zinchenko's prospective switch to Ajax. The Ukrainian is expected to be recalled prematurely from his Forest loan spell with the intention of securing a new club.

Ajax are keen on the versatile left-back, with both a transfer fee and contract terms already agreed in principle. The stumbling block, according to Dutch reports, centres on whether Arsenal are willing to cover the balance of his wages, given his Gunners contract is set to run out this summer.

As reported by De Telegraaf, Ajax are growing restless with the stalemate and have given Arsenal until the end of Thursday to approve the transfer. If this deadline isn't met, they plan to explore other options for a left-back.

Sell-on clause hampers Juve

Arsenal are reportedly causing a hiccup in the potential transfer of one of their former players. When promising right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy moved to Genoa in 2024, a 20 per cent sell-on clause was included in the agreement.

This clause could soon come into effect as Juventus are interested in the 22-year-old, initially on loan with an obligation to buy, provided they qualify for next season's Champions League.

According to Tuttosport, this clause has led Genoa to set a price tag of €25m (approximately £21.5m), which is proving to be a hurdle for Juve.

A sale at that price would earn the Gunners around £4.3m. Juve are hoping that their new sporting director, Marco Ottolini, who recently joined from Genoa, can help push the deal through.
