Timberwolves receive exciting Giannis Antetokounmpo update amid trade talks heating up

The Minnesota Timberwolves are doing relatively well this season, sitting at 29-19 and sixth in the Western Conference. However, after a recent update, the Timberwolves may be able to land someone big and change themselves into a true contender.

According to Brian Windhorst on ESPN”s Get Up, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is interested in playing for the T-Wolves, specifically starring beside Anthony Edwards.

“And Shams [Charania] mentioned the Timberwolves. He is not mentioning that for no reason. This is something that from what I understand, that Giannis has interest in. The Timberwolves don’t have draft picks and don’t have the young players, they’d have to center around veteran players, but that is something we should keep an eye on as well,” Windhorst stated.

So far this season, Giannis is averaging 28 points, 10 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and a steal per game in 29 minutes per game. Combine that with the dynamic playstyle of Anthony Edwards, and the T-Wolves are in business.

As Windhorst mentioned, the T-Wolves would have to give up some veteran players, guys who are key role players to the team. However, in the grand scheme of things, those players can be replaced, and the duo of Giannis and Edwards could run the West, rivalling the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.

Hopefully, the T-Wolves find a way to make a trade for Giannis, and try to secure a dynasty of their own.
